“We’ve got a lot of riding horses in the sale from prospects to finished horses.” Cody stated over the phone last night. “From roping in community pastures to in an arena, riding and training, people from all levels can pick up a horse at our sale.”

Cody also mentioned how this first sale was a year or so in the making. They held over all their 2011 Foals for this year’s sale.

“We take pride in the train-ability of our horses.” Adamus added. “We wanted to go this route to make sure we had a great variety and top quality horses for our buyers. We are selling all of our foals this year.”

Three generations of top quality livestock have been raised by the Adamus Family. It started off with Cody’s Grandfather and was passed on to his Father Gerald who has raised horses all of his life too. K Rose Ranch’s name is new however.

“It’s a family thing we started because of my mom Kathy Adamus.” Cody said.

Kathy unfortunately passed away a number of years ago due to cancer.

Since then K Rose Ranch has been in her memory including a colt that was donated in 2010 to the CIBC Run for the Cure to help raise funds for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Bucking bulls are also being raised by the K Rose Ranch for use in the PBR. (Professional Bull Riders)

“We strive to produce livestock we are proud of and having repeat buyers. We have a sense of pride having sold show horses across Canada and as far south as Mexico.” said Cody.

In his next sentence, he started mentioning some of the top lots of the sale. These are the top three in his opinion taken with descriptions from the sale catalogue which you can find at KRoseRanch.com

Lot Number 7 – AQHA KR Freckles Paradise.

-2012 Bay Roan Filly.

-Owned by K Rose Ranch

-Foal Date: May 26, 2012

Paradise! Cowboys and Cowgirls this is the horse you dream about in Paradise. This is my personal pick of the bunch. I said we were selling all the 2012 foals and I am biting my tongue on this one. Small head, kind eye, huge muscled hip, blue roan color and champions in her pedigree on top and bottom. I can’t say enough about this filly. I am proud to say we raised this one.

Lot Number 12 –  AQHA KR Smart Lil Pepto

-2012 Bay Roan Filly

-Owned by K Rose Ranch

-Foal Date: May 10, 2012

Don’t pass this filly up. She has a baby doll head and nice muscled hip. She’s got a bit of chrome. Now check the pedigree, nothing but proven genetics. Where do you find that Peptoboonsmal and Playgun, this filly will cut a cow. Peptoboonsmall had a breeding fee of $18,000. Playgun had a breeding fee of $6,500. You can get both of those bloodlines in this one filly. Great package here.

Lot Number 20 – AQHA KR Johnny’s Dixon

-2011 Sorrel and White Overo Filly

-Owned by K Rose Ranch

-Foal Date: April 24, 2011

We’ve sold some horses that look very similar to this down to Mexico before and over to Quebec too. This is a Johnny’s Silet Joak filly. His foals are well built and this one is loud colored. Take her and ride her then raise some fancy babies of your own. If you’re going to ride a paint, ride a fancy one!
