JP Veitch, Rona Ambrose & Family Scholarship

Canadian Rodeo Historical Association (CRHA)

The JP Veitch, Rona Ambrose & Family Scholarship was established to promote learning about the cornerstone of today’s rodeo – our predecessors and their amazing stories.  It is our goal to promote, support and encourage young people to become involved in preserving this rich history through their education, community service and athletics.

Scholarships are open to Alberta high school students pursuing post-secondary education who are members of either an amateur or professional rodeo association.  For example, but not limited to:  Alberta High School Rodeo, Alberta Barrel Racing, Alberta Team Roping, Canadian Girls Rodeo, Canadian Professional Rodeo.

Please Note:  Two successful candidates will each receive a $1000 scholarship to be awarded at the Ponoka Stampede during the performance on Monday, June 30, 2025.  Videos of this will be recorded for presentation at the 2025 Inductee banquet planned for November of this year, also in Ponoka.
