CFR 46 Athlete Hot Stove Schedule and Videos

RED DEER, Alberta — New this year at the Canadian Finals Rodeo are the Athlete Hot Stove, hosted by me, Ted Stovin.

Starting on Tuesday, October 29th on the stage inside Stockmen’s Pavillion, the shows run daily at 11am right through until the final day of CFR 46. Come check out the show live each day if you’re in Red Deer, you’ll be able to get a pancake breakfast right before, and the lunch buffet is served right by us at 11:30am.

I’m thrilled to be part of the CFR this year and hosting the Athlete Hot Stove every day, it’s a new addition this year and it’s going to be a ton of fun. I hope to see you there throughout the week!

In the first show on Tuesday I get the chance to reunite the World Champion trio of Levi Simpson, Jeremy Buhler and Zeke Thurston from the single-greatest moment in Canadian rodeo history. I think it fits the theme of history on Tuesday quite well.

On Wednesday for first responders day we lead the show with Brandon Thome of the Canadian Pro Rodeo Sports Medicine Team and follow it up with RFD-TV’s The American Millionaire Richmond Champion, first-time CFR qualifier Stacey Ruzicka and the now nine-time Canadian Pro Rodeo Announcer of the Year, Brett Gardiner.

For Thursday’s show we bring in the now two-time Wrangler NFR qualifier and Canadian Champion Jordan Hansen, cowboy protection specialist Brett Monea and 19-time CFR qualifier Al Bouchard.

We roll into Friday with a pair of British Columbia cowboys and a trio of bulldoggers with Scott Guenthner, Clayton Moore and Jake Gardner. The latter also rides a few bulls and happens to be the two-time and reining Canadian Champion All-Around Cowboy.

For Saturday, around the world day, we visit with a pair of and World Champions from south of the 49th in Shane Hanchey and Sage Kimzey. We also have a special guest planning on stopping by.

For the final show on Sunday we bring together one of the greatest bronc riders ever from Canada in 20-time Wrangler NFR qualifier and eight-time Canadian Champion Rod Hay along with his sons, the now one-time NFR qualifier in Dawson Hay and CFR qualifier Logan Hay.

Stay tuned for more as the week unfolds, it’s one part of #CFR46 you’re not going to want to miss.
