SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Rodeo Houston is now underway, and our Canadian cowboys are coming in hot after a strong showing at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, 15 Canadian cowboys walked away with
cheques from San Antonio. Over the past three weeks, we saw some of our top contestants
compete amongst a strong group of competitors. Sherwood Park cowboy and country music
star, Kody Lamb, is now making his way up in the standings after his high scores in each round
he competed in. The saddle bronc riding has become one of the toughest events to compete in
as of late, with a handful of Canadians finding themselves at the top of the pack more often
than not. Cowboys like Layton Green, Dawson Hay, and Kolby Wanchuk went on the prove this
with their 90-point rides on some of the strongest horses in the game. Moving on to the tie-
down roping, we were able to see a former Canadian Champion, Logan Bird, win some money
in his bracket. Lastly, we can’t forget about the bull riders, Jared Parsonage and Edgar Durazo
won money in their respective brackets with Jordan Hansen going all the way to the semi-finals.
It is safe to say that these cowboys are more than ready for Rodeo Houston.
