BANFF, Alberta — The 6th annual Back on Track Canadian Cowboy Ski Race was another huge (and hilarious) success.

Despite having fewer entries for this year’s ‘Sunday Funday’ event at Mt Norquay, our racers and attendees rallied to raise $9,075.44 for the Canadian Pro Rodeo Sport Medicine Team and the Ty Pozzobon Foundation – not far off last year’s event donation that had 30 more attendees! This goes to show the generosity of our race community and our sponsors! This brings the event’s six-year total donation to nearly $70,000!

We could not have success of this caliber without our generous sponsors. Thanks to Back on Track for keeping us all warm and dry and supporting this event every year. We also give thanks to: Eddie’s Men’s Wear, the Calgary Stampede, Energy Equine, Lammle’s and Wise Equine for their support on the dirt and on the slopes.

We also couldn’t make this happen without our organizers and volunteers. Ted Stovin and I, Megan Madden, of Peak Progressions Nutrition are thankful to make this event happen and sincerely appreciate all of you that helped us pull it off during the event. Heartfelt thanks to Brandon Thome, Jessie Lisk, Kynan Vine, Blaine Bugg and the entire Canadian Pro Rodeo Sports Medicine Team for all of your volunteer time and support.

Also thanks to Covy Moore Photography and Feature Productions Inc. for capturing the day along with everyone that entered up to Buck the Mountain.

We can’t forget those that donated and purchased silent auction items including:
