5. Scott Byrne named 2016 Cowboy of the Year

EDMONTON, Alberta — Number five on the countdown goes to the man that held down the number one spot on the countdown in 2015.

That guy? Scott Byrne.

This year, Byrne isn’t on top, but he was on top of the world back in November at the Canadian Finals Rodeo. Shortly after being named Cowboy of the Year in the CPRA, Scott told Zach Cormier about it.

“Not too many people get to do that in their lifetime, be able to get paid to do something they love to do and then also be surrounded by such great people. It’s amazing.”
