COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and Canadian Professional Rodeo Association are pleased to announce a three-year extension of the longstanding co-sanctioning agreement between the premier rodeo sanctioning bodies in the United States and Canada. The extension, which was signed following unanimous votes by both the PRCA Board of Directors and CPRA Board of Directors, runs through the 2016 rodeo season.
“The sport of ProRodeo has great friends north of the border, and the PRCA is proud to partner with them on maximizing the opportunity for our members,” said PRCA Commissioner Karl Stressman. “Extending an agreement with benefits for the entire industry is a win-win for all involved, and further secures a strong future of growth and prosperity for the cowboy sport.”
“The CPRA and PRCA work closely to do what’s best for the sport, and extending this co-sanctioning agreement further strengthens that important relationship,” said CPRA General Manager Jeff Robson. “ProRodeo is big in Canada. We have great cowboys, stock contractors, corporate partners and committees, and we’re always excited to be part of a world stage. This agreement assures that will continue moving forward.”
