Canada Sweeps Roughstock in Rockies

LARAMIE, Wyoming — Three Canadians competing in the Central Rocky Mountain Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association swept the year-end titles this year in all three roughstock events.

Bareback rider Dantan Bertsch and bull rider Cawl Braithwaite of Casper College won the regional titles in their respective events. Saddle bronc rider Brady Dinwoodie, currently attending the University of Wyoming, did the same.

All three have qualified for the College National Finals which take place next month also in Casper, WY.

As far as we know, this is the first time Canadians have swept all three roughstock events in one region of a region in the NIRA.
