CALGARY, Alberta — The 42nd edition of the Canadian Finals Rodeo in Edmonton is two short weeks away from opening night.

As one of the top five paying rodeos in the entire world, this is one not to miss and in our own backyard. Did you know two of the top five highest paying rodeos in the world are in Alberta?

The contract is in place to keep the CFR in Edmonton this year and also in 2016. All 41 previous editions of the Canadian Finals have taken place in the City of Champions.

Today this article in the Edmonton Journal, by Curtis Stock, talked about the status of what the future might hold.

What are your thoughts on what the future holds for the CFR and where it might be?

Stock also had a conversation with Kyle Bowers. At 38, Bowers is the oldest competitor in the bareback riding.
