Calgary, AB: Looking at the 2013 Canadian Pro Rodeo Association Schedule, I saw tonight that after these next seven days, only twelve events remain. In these next seven days however, five different rodeos take place long with a bull riding in Camrose, AB each morning of the Big Valley Jamboree.

Comparing this week to Cowboy Christmas in Canada, there is $31,600 added per event ($41,600 in the Bull Riding) up to be won between July 30th and August 6th including High Prairie, Abbotsford, Grimshaw, La Crete, Strathmore and Camrose, not including entry fees.

Over Cowboy Christmas including Williams Lake, Airdrie and Ponoka there is over $65,000 to be won. Even though it’s twice as much back in July, this week as far as I am seeing right now, is the second highest paying of the entire year. If someone gets on a roll they can make up some serious round.

A lot more is going to be decided in a week from now on who will be making their way to the 40th Anniversary of the Canadian Finals Rodeo November 6th to 10th in Edmonton, AB.
