Well the first perf of Sundre Pro Rodeo is done . Good rodeo, good crew and good fun! Here is the way things are stacking up after the slack this morning and the performance tonight (June 22).
Bareback: 78.5 Ky Marshall of Bowden AB and Bradley Dyck of Gladstone MB.
Tie Down: 6.6 Hunter Herrin in the slack, then Shane Hanchey of Louisiana with 6.9 and Cody Ohl at 7.0.
Boys Steer Riding: Gunnar Fuchs Sangudo AB 71.
Team Roping : Travis Tryan and Jake Long 3.5, Dustin Bird and Paul Eaves 3.8 and then a 3.9 can you say “tough team roping?”
Barrel Racing: Lindsey Sears Nanton AB 16.234, Sierra Dawn Thomas Roy Ut. 16.306, then 16.359 and 16.405.
Saddle Bronc: Wade Sundell Boxholm Iowa 80.5 on Outlaw Buckers Pride Trap, then Jesse Kruse Great Falls Mont. 78.5 on Franklins Imagine That.
Steer Wrestling: Ponoka’s Brock Butterfield was leading it with a 3.6 from the slack but the performance saw a change on the leader board as Stanfield Oregon Cowboy, Travis Carnine posted. 3.5 for the lead while his traveling partner Dane Hanna of Oklahoma formerly of North Dakota slammed one to 3.6 to split 2/3 with Butterfield .
Bull Riding: Shane Franklin brought a brand new pen of bulls to town , so new they don’t have names as of yet and they fired! Dan Hansen Caroline AB was 87 on FB 78, then there were a pair of 85’s as Miles Pennington of Red Deer on FB849 and Jordan Hupp of Stephenville TX posted identical scores. So now time to burn the midnight oil and do my homework for 2 perfs tomorrow . Thanks Justin Boots and Wrangler for enhancing our rodeo lifestyles!
