Jasper Pro Rodeo Concludes This Evening

As a note, the leaders have not changed after last night’s Friday August 17th’s performance.

The second performance at the Jasper Alberta Professional Rodeo is a wrap. In the bareback riding Ponoka Alberta’s Jake Vold is still in the lead from the first performance with an 84 point ride. Sunnynook Alberta cowboy Michael Solberg moved into a second third split with Deloraine Manitoba’s Colin Adams with each bareback rider posting identical scores of 83.5.

In the Tie Down Roping Erik Dublanko of Thorsby Alberta from the first night still leads the pack with the time of 7.9. The 2009 Canadian tie down roping champion Al Bouchard of Scandia Alberta moved in the second place of the time of 8.3.

In the Barrel Racing Lacombe’s Cranna Roberts still is in the lead from the first performance with the blazing time of 13.236 followed by Big Valley Alberta’s Kirsty White with a 13.288.

In the Team Roping Chad Johnson of Del Bonita, AB Steele Depaoli of Longview, AB are still in first place with a time of 4.6 followed by Cody and Brett McCarroll of Daysland, AB who moved into second place with a time of 5 .9

And in the Bull Riding Ty Elliott of Nanton, AB was 85 points in the first night he still leads the bull riding competition but Wood Mountain, SK bullrider Dakota Peterson posted and 80.5 ride that puts him in second.

In the Saddlebronc riding nothing changed and Denver Daines of Innisfail, AB still leads it with his 84 score and Chet Johnson of Douglas Wyoming is still in second place with an 82.

In the Steer Wrestling event Derek Frank of Stony Plain, AB is still the front runner with his 3.4 on the richter scale. However Ponoka’s third generation Steer Wrestling sensation Chance Butterfield moves into second place with a time of 3.7.
