Getting Closer to #CFR41

CAMROSE, Alberta — Beau Hill already had the Canadian Finals Rodeo made coming into this weekend. One he’s a couple spots out of though at press time is the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

Unfortunately Bulls for Breakfast at the Big Valley Jamboree doesn’t count towards the PRCA’s standings but it still counts towards Hill winning one that’s eluded him thus far, the Canadian Championship.

In the CPRA Hill has been having one of his best years ever as he’s already won $20,000 up to this point. Add in another $3,500 from Camrose and he’s within $5,000 of current season leader Dakota Buttar.

86 points this morning on Playmate Recertified from Saywer Bucking Bulls earned Hill the co-win with Ty Elliot.

Elliot’s earnings in Camrose helped him move closer to getting back to Edmonton. He sat seventh going into this weekend but wasn’t at that illusive $20,000 mark yet. Another ride in tomorrow’s Strathmore finals should put him there. At the Jamboree it was an 86 on another Sawyer Bull, Barry Minor, previously un-rridden.

Jesse Torkelson got himself real close to #CFR41 after a third place finish in Camrose worth $2,500 towards the standings. He’s also in Strathmore’s finals on holiday Monday.

Paraguay’s Fabian Dueck scored 84.5 on American Hustle for a check of over $2,000 that should get him inside the CPRA’s top 20.
