PBR Makes it Four in a Row at the Calgary Stampede

Calgary, AB: Valdiron de Oliveira made it four of five thus far in the bull riding for PBR Built Ford Tough Series riders and round wins at this year’s Calgary Stampede. The only one to not be from the BFTS thus far is Scott Schiffner and he’s spent plenty of time there himself.

Oliveira, originally of Brazil, spends most of his current time in Decatur, TX for travel to and from PBR events in the United States. Today it was the Calgary Stampede’s Black flat horned bucking bull they named after this very website, Everything Cowboy, which Valdiron rode for 86.5 points and the round win.

Valdiron and I caught up yesterday after the event to talk about his win for PBR.com

Canadian Bull Riders Aaron Roy and Jody Turner were both bucked off before the whistle.

Tanner Milan won the Steer Wrestling today as the last man out. He’s been on a roll lately and kept things going today with a 3.4 to pick up another $5,500 worth of winnings.

Leading the Bareback thus far, pending a re-ride is Dusty LaValley. After finishing second last year, nothing but a win is in his expectations in 2013. 89.5 points was the result today on the Growney horse, Raggedy Ann. Luke Creasy is the man with the re-ride that will take place first thing tomorrow. Jake Vold sits in a four way tie for second after he had an 85.5 score today on Vold’s Circuit Breaker.

Dustin Flundra picked up a check today in the Saddle Bronc with an 83 on Growney’s Road Rage for a $2,500 check. CFR and NFR Qualifier Tyler Corrington won today’s round with 86 points to his credit.

Fallon Taylor won the Barrel Racing today after he 17.57 second run to pick up $5,500 in prize money. Current World Standings Leader Sherry Cervi took second not far behind. Cranna Roberts finished today in fourth place for a $2,500 check.

Calgary Stampede Rookie Riley Warren wasn’t nervous at all on the outside as he cashed in for third place and $3,500 in today’s first round of Pool B.
