The Latest Update on Aaron Roy

Calgary, AB: As per this morning’s press conference regarding Aaron Roy, this is what Jason Davidson, long time family friend and Aaron’s agent, had to say about yesterday’s incident.

Aaron had surgery before midnight last night at the Foothills Hospital to deal with the fractured vertebrae (in his lower back). Eight screws and two rods were surgically inserted into his spine to help with the healing.

Aaron also has a broken jaw that had not yet been dealt with. He is able to move his feet. They want to get him upright today. The doctors said he was very lucky. They are keeping him in the Foothills Hospital for at least two more days.

Aaron’s Wife, Hallie and Mom, Jan are there with him and his Dad, Len is on his way to Calgary as we speak.

Aaron Roy will not be competing further at this year’s Calgary Stampede.
