Hervey Strengthens Lead in Meadow Lake

MEADOW LAKE, Saskatchewan – With a win at tonight’s Meadow Lake Bull-a-Rama, current Bull Riders Canada number one and reigning champ Brian Hervey has increased his lead. Hervey now has an edge of 565 points over number two Cody Moore.

Scores of 85 in the long go on Lite Em Up and 86 on Hawaii Five-O in the short go were two points better than Australian Riley Gibson. Thursday night in North East Saskatchewan was worth over $3,500 for Hervey moving his season total to just under $9,000.

In his first event back on Canadian soil, Riley Gibson kicked things off well. An 84 was second place in the long go while his 85 in the short go tied him for second there. Gibson heads to the next event with nearly $2,500 cash in his Wrangler Jeans.

Rising star Logan Biever moves inside the top ten in the BRC standings with his showing tonight in Meadow Lake. Biever, only 16 years old, put scores of 82.5 and 85 together to finish third overall and add $2,002 to his 2014 earnings. The Claresholm High School Student is now the youngest man inside the top ten, sitting sixth.

Jake Stemo and Gerard Oversby cashed in for over $400 each with their 81.5 point bull rides.
