CAMROSE, Alberta — Cawl Braithwaite sat 24th in the Bull Riders Canada standings going into Bulls for Breakfast at the Big Valley Jamboree this weekend. Three bull rides for Braithwaite earned him 220 points towards the BRC championship and over $3,000 for his pockets.

The points moved him all the way up to 13th place with nearly $8,000 won on the year all but ensuring his spot in October’s Finals.

On Saturday on a re-ride Cawl took Vold Rodeo’s Yard Sale to an 82 for the win. His 78.5 from Thursday earned him fourth at the event as well.

 

Ken Siemens took second in Camrose earning $1,938 and moving him up to fifth in the BRC standings to get that number one spot in his sights. Siemens rode Vold Rodeo’s Ninja Boot to a score of 80.5 on day one, Thursday.

 

Mexico’s Edgar Durazo secured his finals spot with a third place finish worth $1,297 after scoring 79 points on day two moving him up to 15th on the season. A seventh place finish also earned him some important points. Speaking of those important points, Shay Marks, Ben Turner and Rosendo Ramirez all made their way into better spots in the standings after qualified rides over the past four days.
