Ted Stovin

My name is Ted Stovin, I’m originally from Drayton Valley, Alberta and still get my mail there. In the summer I spend most of my time in Water Valley, AB in the summer working for Chad Pighin doing construction work during the week and travelling to different rodeos all around the world.

Education

I don’t get to spend much time there in Drayton Valley anymore. Since high school I don’t think I have spent more than 60 days there. I started out leaving high school and going to college in Hobbs, New Mexico on a full rodeo scholarship where I studied a whole bunch of stuff. In May of 2010, I graduated from New Mexico Junior College there in Hobbs with my Associates Degree in General Studies with a cumulative GPA of 3.71

Currently I’m studying business at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I was given a rodeo scholarship to go to school here and have one more year until I will get my bachelors degree. I see education as a major part of my life because I won’t always be able to ride bulls and need to set myself up for once I my riding career is finished. I do plan be a part of rodeo for the rest of my life because I love it and love the people that are a part of it as well.

Career Highlights

I started my rodeo career at age 12 and haven’t looked back since. It’s been a great journey. I am thankful for all of those who I have met and am excited for what the future brings. Here are some of my rodeo accomplishments and honors along with positions held:

  • Current IPR North American Contestant Director
  • 2010 CPRA High Marked Ride of the Season (91.5 Points)
  • Finished 3rd in the 2010 CPRA Permit Award Standing
  • I have represented Canada on 3 different occasions in International Competition including one time to Mexico and two times to Brazil
  • Finished 6th in at the 2009 IPR World Finals in Chihuahua, Mexico
  • 2008 National High School Finals Rodeo Qualifier

Memberships

Currently I am a member of the following associations:

  • Canadian Professional Rodeo Association (CPRA)
  • Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA)
  • Professional Bull Riders (PBR)
  • International Pro Rodeo (IPR)
  • National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA)

With the amount of people at these rodeos along with the amount of viewers “Hell on Hooves” has, with myself being a part of the show I see myself as a great opportunity for sponsorship for your company.

Outlets of Influence

Not only will “Hell on Hooves” be a great outlet this year but I have many other places where your company will stand out when we work together. Here are some of the other outlets I have along with the amount of people on each:

  • I have over 2300 Friends on Facebook at this point that number grows each day: http://Facebook.com/TedStovin
  • Over 1500 Followers on Twitter: http://Twitter.com/TedStovin
  • I am glad to call this very website my own. At the time of writing this in the past month over 5000 people visited http://EverythingCowboy.ca
  • My bull riding productions. I currently produce one bull riding event and have 2 more in the works this season. This is another great outlet for your comapny through what I do.
  • Finally I have YouTube as an outler as well. I have got over 150,000 views of my videos so far and plan to do a video recap each week to keep my fans updated on what’s happening along with feature my rides from the different competitions. You can find my channel at: http://www.youtube.com/user/wstovin?feature=mhum

So my overall influence in these areas adds up to at least 4000 people not including and of my competitions which include up to 100 different venues each year.

I am a very respectful person and always be sure to look professional in everything I do. I will represent your company well in a professional manner throughout all my travels and endeavours.
